Glace Bay, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia – 1907
After a snowstorm in the Maritimes, an electric ‘streetcar’ plow is used to clear the tracks through this coal-mining town. Local electricity was provided by the mining company’s coal-fired power plant. The midday sun is bright as some boys enjoy the closest vantage point possible.
